Lovely Paris & France

I visited Paris last week. It is a wonderful city, and people are so good. I love the way they speak.

I just walked around in the evening, ended up in a halal food shop and enjoyed a mouth watering seekh kebab roll, chips and coke; too good. Could not make any photos, camera was missing. However below are photos from my last visit and also the blog.

I went to France in Jul 2008. Our office there is in a small town called Cergy (pronounced as Sir jee), it is some 40 Km away from Paris. Cergy is a green, beautiful small peaceful town, see attached photos. Office location is unbelievably picturesque. You walk into main entrance building surrounded by trees, passing through its corridor you see an elegant building in front; you go downstairs to a lake. There is a wooden walkway with bridge going through the middle of the lake. You can see colorful fish in the lake. Surrounding is stunningly lush green.

From the first floor of the office you can see another big lake and breathtaking surroundings. It is simply marvelous. Wish we were all here, working together.

Chinese colleagues get their lunch & dinner provided by a local Chinese restaurant. I was really hungry on the day I arrived. I asked my Chinese colleague if I could join but he refused L… sorry you need to order in advance. After 6 pm, I headed for a market nearby. To my surprise it was full of Arabs, plenty of halal food shops. I had full plate of chicken shawarma & jibs (Arabs call chips jibs). There was even a Pakistani shop too, selling “French Chicken”!!. Paki-people are few in this town even though there are plenty of taxi opportunities here. I rang taxi after dinner to go back hotel but I was told to wait half an hour after which taxi may arrive if available. Same taxi drive picked me on first day, and on second day and on third day. He became so friendly that on one occasion I did not have change, he replied don’t worry, you can pay later (so I did, I don’t know why he trusted me, do I look trustworthy??)

Next day I went to lunch with a Swedish and a French guy, Chinese take their lunch on-site. When I came back I saw one Chinese sleeping on his chair, a bit surprised, I saw another one, then another, nearly all the Chinese guys were sleeping in their chairs. Even more surprising, none of the Chinese girls were asleep, instead they were……..

Hmmmmm….Guess what the Chinese girls were doing?????
